High Speed APC The
APC employs a large-diameter (180 / 280mm) curvic coupling
chucking mechanism for highly accurate chucking. The curvic
coupling utilizes a pair of 8 teeth along the Curvic circle at
a 45 degree angle, which engages without backlash, results in
high chucking rigidity and repeatability of
±0.005mm. The
clamping / unclamping of pallet is controlled by mechanical
mechanism without using any hydraulic or pneumatic devices.
The APC uses a roll gear cam indexing drive that
facilitates high-speed pallet changes and easy maintenance.
The standby pallet is right behind the machine guard door with
a gap of only 200 (220) mm, and is extremely fast and easy to
program and re-tool for fast job changeover, which makes it
ideally suited to produce a wide variety of part groups in
large, medium and small batch production.
